Living with my Yellow Lids Reusable Bottle

How should I look after my Yellow Lids bottle?
Yellow Lids bottles are scared of the dark. They hate freezers, dishwashers and definitely don't enjoy microwaves! Like a newborn they don't appreciate being dropped from a great height; it is generally frowned upon and worse can chip the paint or powder-coat. Yellow Lids bottles also suffer from separation anxiety - avoid leaving at home, in the car, the office or riding the Bakerloo line - you'll only end up buying a plastic bottle, something we're all trying to avoid.

How should I clean my Yellow Lids bottle?
A well maintained Yellow Lids bottle is a friend for life. Hand wash regularly in hot soapy water and store dry leaving the lid off. The o-ring can be removed and should be cleaned regularly too. Yellow Lids bottles are NOT suitable for dishwashers.

What liquids can I put in my Yellow Lids bottle?
Your Yellow Lids bottle is not just for Christmas water. Hot, fizzy, and alcoholic drinks will work too - we even use ours for soup. For anything other than water make sure you clean your bottle with hot soapy water as soon as possible after use to keep your bottle fresh. Take care when opening your bottle after storing alcohol and fizzy liquids as pressure may have built up inside and can cause the lid to pop off.

How should I keep liquids cold?
A Yellow Lids bottle will keep tap water chilled but if you're feeling extra cool, try filling with pre-chilled water from the fridge or adding ice. Avoid putting your Yellow Lids bottle directly into the fridge or freezer - they're so well insulated it won't actually help. Keeping the lid on will extend the period liquids will stay cold. Your Yellow Lids bottle will keep liquids cold for up to 24 hours.

How should I keep liquids hot?
We know you're super busy but if you have time, pre-heat your bottle by filling with boiling water for a minute or two. Then empty and fill with a hot drink of your choice. Keeping the lid on until you're thirsty will help to maintain the temperature of your drink. Take care when opening as liquids may still be very hot.

Can I use my bottle for long-term storage of liquids?
We recommend you do not use your Yellow Lids bottle for long-term storage of liquids. Particularly alcohol, dairy and juice which can increase the pressure within the bottle and cause the bottle or lid to fail.

What is a Yellow Lids bottle made from?
It's your commitment to rejecting single-use plastic which makes them worthwhile! They're made from 18/8 (304) grade stainless steel, they're double-walled vacuum insulated and they're leak proof.

What are the dimensions of the bottle?
Yellow Lids bottles are 265mm tall with a base diameter of 70mm.

How does the lid work?
The lid screws into the neck of the bottle to create a leak-proof seal.

How should I look after my Yellow Lids reusable cup?
Yellow Lids reusable cups are NOT suitable for freezers, dishwashers or microwaves! Their powder-coat finish is super durable but may not survive a toddler dragging it over a rocky beach. Our cups can get very jealous and won't forgive you if you're caught cheating on them with a plastic alternative.

How should I clean my Yellow Lids reusable cup?
A well maintained Yellow Lids reusable cup is a friend for life. Hand wash regularly in hot soapy water and store dry leaving the lid off. The o-ring can be removed from the lid and should be cleaned regularly too. Yellow Lids reusable cups are NOT suitable for dishwashers. A metal scourer can be used on the inside to clean tea stains.

What liquids can I put in my Yellow Lids reusable cup?
Your Yellow Lids reusable cup is perfect for hot tea, coffee and chocolate but will help maintain the temperature of your favourite drink, hot or cold. Maintain the freshness of your reusable cup by cleaning with hot soapy water regularly.

How long will my cup keep my drinks hot?
A Yellow Lids reusable cup will keep liquids hot for up to 3 hours and cold for up to 6 hours.

How should I keep liquids hot?

What is a Yellow Lids Reusable Cup made from?
They're made from 18/8 (304) grade stainless steel, powder-coated to keep them looking good despite a knock or two and they're double-walled vacuum insulated.

What are the dimensions of the Reusable Cups?
310ml reusable cups are 130mm tall with a base diameter of 65mm.
450ml reusable cups are 162mm tall with a base diameter of 65mm.
Lid diameter is 87mm.

Will my cup fit in my cup holder?
We're confident both the 310ml and 450ml reusable cups will fit in most cup holders.

How does the lid work?
The lid is push fit into the neck of the cup and sealed with an o-ring.

Is the accessory lid leak-proof?
The accessory closable lid for the reusable cups will prevent catastrophic spills but if not 100% leak-proof. They are perfect for storing your finished drink in a bag to prevent spills.

What is in the pack?
A Yellow Lids reusable straw pack includes 2 straight straws, 2 bent straws and 4 removable silicone tips. The pack also includes a cleaning brush and comes in a handy cotton bag.

What are Yellow Lids straws made from?
Yellow Lids straws are made from high quality food grade 304 stainless steel. The removable yellow tips are made food grade silicone.

What are the dimensions of the straws?
Yellow Lids reusable straws are 215mm tall and 6mm in diameter.

How do I clean the straws?
They come with a handy brush to remove the any dried on smoothie but will also happily spend an evening in the dishwasher.

What sizes are in the standard 6 pack?
A Yellow Lids stretchy lids pack includes 6 silicone food covers (diameters: 6.5cm, 9cm, 11cm, 13.5cm, 16cm, 21cm).

Will they fit over square or unusual shaped containers?
Absolutely, Yellow Lids stretchy lids are super flexible while maintaining good tension over the bowl or container. They'll stretchy to fit over square and unusual containers.

What are Yellow Lids Stretchy Lids made from?
Yellow Lids stretchy lids are made from high quality food grade (LFGB certified) silicone. 

What are the dimensions of the straws?

How do I clean my Stretchy Lids?
Yellow Lids stretchy lids are dishwasher safe. You can also hand wash in hot soapy water and allow to air dry.

How much does UK delivery cost?
It's simple. In the UK spend over £20 and delivery is free. Otherwise it's £3.95.

How long will it take to deliver to my UK address?
For Free and Standard delivery you should expect your order within 4 working days from your dispatch confirmation email. Yellow Lids bottles are dispatched Monday-Friday.

How long does 'Express' UK delivery take?
Only available in the UK. Express delivery will arrive within 2 days from your dispatch confirmation email.

How much does EU delivery cost?
Shipping costs for EU countries are calculated at checkout. Most European countries are covered by our £15 EU shipping rate.

How long will it take to deliver to my EU address?
You should expect your EU order within 10 working days from your dispatch confirmation email. Yellow Lids bottles are dispatched Monday-Friday.

How much does Rest of World delivery cost?
Rest of the world shipping costs £30.

How long will it take to deliver to my Rest of World address?
You should expect your Rest of World order within 14 working days from your dispatch confirmation email. Yellow Lids bottles are dispatched Monday-Friday.

Returns

Can I return my order?
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn and unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at returns@yellowlids.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
